CJ Jutba

AI-Native Product Engineer

I'm CJ, a solo product engineer. I take a founder's idea and turn it into a production-grade web app, SaaS, or internal system, fast enough to test and solid enough to scale.

Most builds take months. Mine ship in weeks. Being AI-native means I move at a pace solo developers usually can't, with agents working in parallel and every line reviewed before it ships.

My biggest client build so far is a regulated fintech platformThe Fiscplus case study, architecture and outcome included., shipped solo. Auth, payments, dashboards, and the compliance rigor a regulated build demands, end to end. Most recently I built KernelKernel, my Mac app for running Claude Code agents as a team., a Mac app that turns Claude Code into a small software team, and took it from an empty repo to a signed release in eight days. You can see the rest of my workEvery case study I've shipped, Fiscplus included. or how we'd work togetherWhat a project with me looks like, scope to handoff..

Away from client work I write about what I'm buildingNotes and build logs on shipping and AI-native work., keep an honest list of the tools I actually useThe hardware, editor, and tools I actually use., and tick things off a bucket listPersonal goals, on the record, some already done. that keeps getting longer. The short version of how I got here is on my about pageHow I got here, background and how I work., and there's a resumeOne page, PDF, opens in a new tab. if you prefer one page.

Everything I'm on lives in one placeEvery profile and page, one directory., and there's a guestbookSign in and leave a note, public and permanent. if you want to leave something behind. You can also search the whole siteEvery page, post and section heading, in one field. if you already know what you came for.

What I'm building now

Case study
Kernel's Lead chat, with a four-task plan for a PDF export feature waiting for approval

Kernel is a Mac app that turns Claude Code into a small software team. You brief the Lead and approve a plan, and agents build in their own git worktrees, ask before anything risky, and open pull requests that wait for you to merge.

I took it from an empty repo to a signed, self-updating release in eight days. It's the same way I build for clients, with agents doing the typing and me owning the plan, the review and the merge.

I work close to the business problem. What users need, what has to ship first, and what has to stay reliable once people depend on it. There is more about how I got hereHow I got here, background and how I work. if you want the longer version.

I've shipped regulated fintech software, SaaS dashboards, internal tools and MVPs as a solo builder. The goal never changes. Make the product real enough to use, learn from and grow.

Right now I'm taking on freelance work, and I'm open to the right full-time role. If you have a product that needs building, or an internal system that has outgrown its spreadsheet, and I'll come back with what I'd do first.
