Bucket list
Things to do at least once
I keep the list public so it stays honest. Some of it is done, most of it is still ahead.

Build and ship
2 of 7This site. The content is typed TypeScript instead of a CMS, so the writing ships with the code.
A pull request merged into something other people already depended on.
Ten thousand who came back, not ten thousand who signed up once.
Revenue that covers the hosting, the tools, and the hours I put into it.
Strangers filing issues and sending pull requests without me asking.
Money that arrives in a month I did nothing.
Scope to launch, with them making the calls and me asking the questions.
Grow in public
1 of 7Shipped across time zones and paid in a currency that isn't mine.
Including the months where the honest post is that nothing shipped.
Long enough to include the parts that did not work.
Thirty minutes, out loud, on something I got wrong first.
The number only counts if the repos earned it.
Go, Rust, or Swift. Far enough in that it changes how I write TypeScript.
Finished, not started. One a month for twelve months.
Places and firsts
0 of 7Kyoto in autumn, the trip I keep pushing back a year at a time.
Stand under a sky that does not look real and let it not look real.
Order food, get lost, and ask my way back without switching to English.
No itinerary and nobody to translate for me.
Finishing is the goal. The clock keeps me honest.
Breathe underwater without panicking about it.
No tent, no roof, and whatever 3am sounds like.
